For a bunch of marketing professionals, we don't really like to toot our own horns. So, for now, you'll just have to be satisfied knowing what we do to enable Wm's design-aholism. Check back someday. Maybe we'll post some really juicy, tell-all biographies that you won't want to miss.
Laura Holland Belk — lead marketing writer, pitchqueen, and creative fool.
A professional writer with more than 20 years experience in advertising and marketing, Laura Holland Belk operates a thriving freelance writing business that currently serves a range of clients including Adobe, Business Objects, Hewlett-Packard, James F. Campbell (Attorney at Law), Simple Medicinals, and Xtracycle. A former senior writer for Autodesk, Laura learned the strategic ins and outs of targeted messaging during her 10-year stint at Pickett Communications in San Francisco. There she focused on developing award-winning concepts and content for the high-tech, wine and spirits, and financial services industries. When asked to identify her key strengths as a copywriter, she will humbly reply, “My greatest talents as a professional writer are 1) learning to speak the language of the intended audience, 2) simplifying, clarifying, and energizing my client’s key messages, and 3) writing clean, targeted copy that evokes the desired response.”
Mark Filimonov — copywriter
Mark is a tech-savvy marketing writer who helps businesses get clear about what they have to offer, and then crafts the words they need to deliver that information in a concise, easy-to-understand fashion on the Web or in print. And although he writes an awful lot about software, he really likes other subjects too.
Mark Gunnion — namer and tag line writer
Mark has provided names and other commercial language for businesses, websites, bands and non-profits since way back before the boom. In that time, he's named everything from tennis shoes to insurance companies. His lists of name ideas have a lot in common with his guitar playing: high volume, wild improvisation, and seasoned chops.
